All around, there are advantages that only a few can quickly make use of in their daily work – NEO is part of the Baumkirchen Mitte neighborhood, which is being built on the site of the former München 4 depot in Berg am Laim since 2013. The first of more than 1000 new residents will already find a new home here in 2016. On a total area of over 130,000 square meters, the neighborhood connects work and life. As a result, the paths to the supermarket, to the nearest cafe, to the sports complex or maybe even to your own home are reduced to a minimum. In the development of the neighborhood, special attention is paid to the architecture: For all the buildings, sophisticated architectural competitions were conducted among internationally renowned architectural offices. The starting point was an urban master plan that ideally links the city with nature and brings the theme “Nature finds the city” to life. As a further special feature, the neighborhood has park-like grounds that are unique in Munich. And if you go just a bit further, you will quickly discover the charm of Baumkirchen – for example, the weekly farmer’s market or the “La Cantinetta” deli immediately opposite the neighborhood!

To the west of the property stretch the park-like grounds, consisting of abandoned railway tracks that have now become a biotope. A specially planned development concept, which also makes the park open to the public, lets you observe all the plant and animal diversity in peace. Long boardwalks guide visitors throughout the grounds and provide places to relax and unwind at so-called bastions.
